Riverwood Creative is a design business that creates and sells Showit website templates and related digital products for ethical and creative entrepreneurs worldwide.

2. What Data We Collect and Why
Website analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use our website. This includes aggregated information such as approximate location, device type, browser, and pages visited. GA4 is configured with IP anonymization enabled and advertising features disabled. This data is used only to improve our website and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Legal basis (GDPR): Consent. GA4 only loads after you accept cookies via our consent banner.
Email list (MailerLite)
If you sign up for our email list, download a freebie, or join a waitlist via an embedded form on our website, we collect your name and email address. We use MailerLite to send you updates, resources, and occasional offers. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
When you purchase a product through Thrivecart, your email address is also added to our MailerLite list so we can send you relevant product updates and information.
Legal basis (GDPR): Consent (opt-in forms); performance of a contract (post-purchase emails).
Purchases (Thrivecart & Stripe)
When you purchase a product, your order is processed through Thrivecart. They collect the information needed to complete the transaction, including your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We retain your order information for legal and accounting purposes.
Legal basis (GDPR): Performance of a contract; legal obligation (invoicing and accounting).
Contact form
If you contact us via the contact form on our website, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. Showit routes this data through their system to deliver it to us. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry and do not store it beyond that purpose.

4. How Long We Keep Your Data
- Analytics data: retained for 2 months in GA4, then automatically deleted.
- Email subscribers: retained until you unsubscribe.
- Purchase records: retained for 7 years in accordance with Dutch tax law.
- Contact form messages: deleted after your inquiry is resolved.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to how we process it; and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to data portability.

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
6. Consumer Rights

Our website is hosted on Showit’s secure platform. Payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI DSS compliant. We do not store payment card details.
